Well Miss I decided it was time to finally cut off her hair and donate it. We only needed to cut off 8" but when we got to the hairstylist's chair she said "A bit shorter, a bit shorter... there. that's good!" She ended up cutting off about 14"!!! What a change! I do have to admit, it is a pretty cute new do and I don't have to yell at her to brush her hair. She said, "Mom it's so easy to do!!!"

Tea Party for Alice
Sorry I have been away from this little blog for a while. I have been busy with life and the shop... well you know how it goes. March was incredibly busy for me... we have 4 family birthdays in March so it seems like we were just hopping everywhere! I did however, manage to add a little TEA PARTY invite to the shop though. It's absolutely adorable and prefect for those little girls who aren't quite "pink" girlies. My little Miss S is absolutely in love with orange right now so she inspired this invite! Wild Party Idea
If you are looking for a wild party theme, what better theme than animal print! This little design works for a large age group. So cute with the floral version for a toddler yet super cool for a teen. Incorporate black and white striped straws and fun zebra printed paper goodie bags and throw some fat quarter zebra fabrics on your table for a simple embellishment. It's a really easy theme to use and so many possibilities. Just have fun with it... I'm sure the kids will! Pin It

Our Sofia the First celebrates turning 5
Our little Sofia the First celebrated turning 5 with a fabulous birthday theme of none other than ... Sofia the First of course. Right now I think she is Princess Sofia's biggest fan. We decorated with pretty paper doily bunting and of course lots of balloons (in many colours as my girls' favorite colour changes all the time). We decorated the cupcakes with icing and purple sprinkles and topped them with little Sofia the First paper cut outs and gummy butterflies (now the gummies were a total hit!) We gave out sweet little homemade purple treat bags with cute little candycane shaped Sofia the First lip gloss on the outside instead of a bow (my girl is a December baby so it worked great. She had a blast and got a new T-Shirt for the party and a new necklace I found on Etsy here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/baileysblossoms. Great little shop and super prices on these little necklaces and bracelet sets.

You asked... We're answering.

Over at THE ETSY SHOP I get a lot of people convoeing me with some very good questions. I thought I would share a few of them for other future customers to help you with the ordering process.
1. How does ordering work?
Once you have added the item to your cart and paid through paypal and completed your order through Etsy, I will start your order by adding info and photos and send you a proof. Once the proof is finalized by you, I will email the file (usually in jpg form) to the address attached to your Etsy account.
2. How long does an order take to complete?
Once it is paid, I usually try to get the order finished in around 3 days depending on how many changes, you as the client, request. To get your order completed faster, please include all info I need in notes to buyer on Etsy including if you need special specifications.
3. Do I get a proof first?
Yes. I usually send out a proof first unless it is a simple order such as a tag with only requires a name being added.
4. Can I use my own wording?
Yes! If you have something special you want your card to say, by all means let us know. We will do our best to fit it on.
5. I have a few photos I am having trouble deciding which one to use. Can I see the card with a few photo choices?
Yes. Please send me a few photos if you can't decide. Sometimes the layout of the card helps to determine which photo looks best.
6. Do you do printing?
Unfortunately not at this time. We are currently a "you-print" company. This way your costs stay lower and there are no shipping fees and worries as to whether your invites will show up in time to mail out for your party.
7. Do you do rush orders?
We can depending on how backed up we are. Please send me a convo and let us know your situation and we can see if we can get you your order asap. We do have to charge an extra $10 fee for express orders.
8. How do I print these?
I recommend using a professional photofinisher for printing as the design details pop more but you can easily print these cards at home on your printer on heavy cardstock.
9. How do you recommend cutting and assembling the cupcake toppers / tags?
Our tags are designed as 2" round toppers. I prefer to use a 2 1/2" or 3" hole punch to make it quicker but our toppers are designed with a sqare background for those party planners who are strapped for time and need a quick and easy cut design. Once cut, attach to a lollipop stick with tape or white circle labels (easily found at your local office supply store).
10. Do you have specific hours?
Being a busy full-time working mom, I dedicate time to my shop in the evenings (usually after my children have gone to bed). I do however try to take Weekends off for family time.
A Little Merry for the Holidays...
We've added a few new Christmas greetings to the shop. Pop on over and snap them up for your holiday greetings! www.missbellaexpressions.etsy.com

Fall Decor Link Up 2013
Happy Fall everyone! Ok so it doesn't really feel like fall today around here - they are even saying we may set a record today for the heat. Last time it was 29.4 degrees Celcius was 70 years ago!!! Of course I'm not complaining about the heat... I would be quite happy with weather like this over chilly gloomy days. So anyways, I have been in the full on fall decor swing as of late and have been perusing the pictures on pinterest and magazines for some fall decor ideas. We just bought a house in July so I'm excited to have it all decked out for fall. It will be hard to get rid of my flowers since they looked so amazing this year but I'm sure I can find some great filler ideas for my pots by our entryways. We went to a bird educational day this summer and the girls came home with their own painted bird houses so I think I might get hubby to add so stakes to them for now so I can stand them in my pots and I'm looking forward to getting some pumpkins to add and well, we'll see what else we find. I did pick up a sparkly wreath and a cute little scarecrow the other day that the girls just love... Wreath for the front door since we haven't had time to paint our front door yet and the scarecrow is already by our side door greeting everyone as they come home. What is everyone doing for your fall decor this season? I would love to see what you are working on.... I'm going to add a little link up to the bottom of this post so you all can share. In the meantime, here are a few things I'm just loving...

Backyard Butterfly Soiree
What a fun party for little girls!
This one is so easy to put on. Decorate with paper butterfly cutouts and stitch together with your sewing machine or else just tape them to the ends of your balloon curly ribbons for a fun effect over the cake table. Make cute little cupcake toppers with pretzels and icing or if you are feeling a little more ambitious, try making chocolate butterflies. For a great centerpiece, pick up a couple of the wire and nylon butterflies you find at your local dollar stor... so cute and low cost. Why not do a little face painting? You do not need to be an artist to do this. Just pick up some face paint crayons and paint full face butterflies or feeling a bit iffy about face painting.... just add little butterflies on the kids cheeks... I guarantee they will love either design!!!
You can stop by the shop to pick up this adorable butterfly birthday invite here.

Sweet Strawberry Party
The summer is nearing an end and soon fall will be upon us... let's try to celebrate the fruits of the summer season with a SWEET little STRAWBERRY party... or Strawberry Tea Party! This invite and the matching printables have a sweet vintage feel... throw out a pretty patterned quilt in the backyard and add some finger sandwiches and cupcakes for the little ladies and you have a fantastic, low maintenace/low planning, backyard party! Make a little lemonade with strawberries floating in it for colour and flavor... add a few strawberries and some whipped cream.... oh yum!
