Somewhere Over The Rainbow....

...someone is celebrating a fabulous RAINBOW party!

And why not? Doesn't this look like the most fun party theme ever??? Heck it just looks fun to decorate!

I've made similar cupcakes before and for those of you who think they can't bake... YOU SO CAN DO THIS! Buys a cake mix, separate the mix out into separate bowls once you have added all the ingredients and add your food colouring. Voila! Now just add the different colours SLOWLY to your cupcake tins (cute wrappers make it even more special!) and bake. Again, these rainbow cookies look fairly simple for a novice to accomplish.

Now I'm a busy working momma as well, so I know we don't always have the time to make elaborate cookies and cakes but these look pretty easy. Or get those pretty rainbow butterflies from Etsy and add to a simple white icing cake. Looks like you slaved away making it pretty.

The rainbow fruit tray is a great idea too. Do it with your veggies too!

Don't forget to adorn your birthday girl with a rainbow headband I found on Etsy. Super cute!

Princess Party Time!

I have two little girls princesses at home and boy do they love parties.

Every time I turn around they are dressed up in their princess dresses and dancing around... it's adorable! I've had to throw princess parties in the past for my girls and I thought I would share some really cool ideas with you for some princess party ideas.

I mean, I usually throw a party together last minute as I'm so busy helping others throw their super fantastic parties!

That pink popcorn is a great idea and a good way to try and keep the sweets down a bit. And wow for cakes I found on the net. There are some super talented people out there. I especially loved the Snow White Cupcakes. Now those are just too sweet to eat and I'm pretty sure even I could handle the cute sugar cookie slipper and crown cookies.

Some Bunny Loves You!

Easter is just around the corner and everyone is getting that yearly itch for pastel pinks, blues, greens and yellows. Bunnies and chick are popping up everywhere (and no I don't mean of the Hefner type). We've all had enough of the blustery Blues and Winter Woes and everyone is eagerly awaiting EASTER! The first signs of spring and lovely weather. I've already given myself a dose of spring tulips and am ready for full-blown spring fun!

"Teal" Me Away....

I'm in love with this colour lately and it has been very popular on Etsy as well. Look at all the great finds in wonderful shades of this great colour!

These are all things I have on my wish list right now. I'm trying to get into organization mode now that the new year has begun and what a beautiful way to store craft items or ribbons or even little treats for the kids than those teal jars or that planner kit to help me get organized. And if you know me, you know I'm a sucker for nail polish so that sparkly polish is fantastic! I'm also a purse and scarf -a holic as of late..... ok I've always been a purse-a-holic but the scarf thing is new. And kids and party stuff... well that's obvious! I have two little girls who love being princesses and having parties.

A Valentine for You!

I wanted to share a little Valentine's Day giveaway with you all today.

Yesterday I went shopping to get the girls some window clings to decorate our patio windows and they were super excited. I didn't even have to fight to get them both in the tub last night at bath time! Now that's a feat! So they will be enjoying doing that today and I will get to see their efforts when I get home today after work.

Invite all the kids over for some take out and games! This fun Asian inspired invitation is so adorable. Cover the table with cherry blossom pink table cloths and get little "take out" boxes as party favor bags. Hi everyone,

Today I'm in the mood for love. Valentine's Day is just around the corner and my kids are getting excited to share their Valentine's already. Plus I had a fabulous weekend with my besties so that totally recharged my batteries. We have now decided it is necessary to do those wonderful get-together-shopping-sprees every two months. Mommies really do need their alone time to be themselves instead of a mommy all the time.

So anyways, I'm in the mood to get my girls decorating the house for Valentine's Day so I looked around for some cute and awesome ideas and wanted to share it with you. I try to share things that are simple and easy to do for all you busy mommies out there like me, so enjoy!


What a cute and simple idea! A nice little bit of bunting above the bed. And I'm sure you could find precut pieces at the local dollar store or craft shop. Thank you Shabby Addict for sharing!


This is almost the same idea as above, you just need a few more pieces and a little extra glue to make the 3-D version but so cute for the window! Check it out at Lushome.


So sweet, so simple. Just download (or make your own on your computer, and print it out. Pop in a frame and voila! An adorable little sign for the holiday. This one is from Less Cake More Frosting.


Could this be any easier? A simple votive and some pretty sprinkles. These would look great on a dinner table or mantle! Source: Home Klondike.
